Questions about Pinnix.
Everything below is the honest version. If your question isn't here, email hello@pinnix.co.uk and we'll add it.
About Pinnix.
What is Pinnix?
Pinnix is a daily planner that does the thinking your brain shouldn't have to. You brain dump everything you need to do. Pinnix pulls out each task, sizes it for energy and time, breaks big ones into smaller ones, and plans your day around the hours you focus best. Built for ADHD, executive dysfunction, and anyone whose to-do list has stopped helping.
Who is Pinnix for?
People whose to-do list has become the source of stress, not the solution to it. Founders, freelancers, designers, developers, consultants, marketers. Some have ADHD or are autistic. Some are late-identified adults figuring it out. Many have no label at all. Pinnix is built around how brains like this actually work.
Is Pinnix only for people with ADHD?
No. Pinnix is built neurodivergent-first, but it's useful for anyone overwhelmed by their own workload. ADHD, autism, AuDHD, executive dysfunction, burnout, long COVID brain fog, or just a non-linear way of thinking, all welcome.
What does the name “Pinnix” mean?
Honestly? It's just a name. Short, sharp, easy to say. The name is the name. The brand is what we do with it.
Who built Pinnix?
Kyle, a founder based in Yorkshire. Self-identified ADHD, awaiting clinical assessment. He built Pinnix because he couldn't find a tool that worked for the way his brain actually operated. Read the full story on the About page.
Where is Pinnix based?
Pinnix is a UK-registered company headquartered in Yorkshire. We serve users worldwide.
How it works.
How does the AI task breakdown work?
Add a task like “Write the proposal” and Pinnix uses AI to break it into the smallest honest first step, then the next, then the next. The wall becomes a staircase. You stop staring at “write the proposal” and start with “open a blank doc and write the working title.” Pinnix learns what kinds of breakdowns work for you over time.
What is “Pick for me”?
A button for moments of decision paralysis. You're staring at your list, you can't pick where to start, you tap “Pick for me” and Pinnix chooses the next task based on what you've told it matters, what you've been avoiding, and your current energy. No drama. Just start.
How does Pinnix plan around my focus patterns?
You tell Pinnix when your sharpest hours are during onboarding, and you can change them any time in Settings. Pinnix lines up heavy work for your peak, steady work for the middle of your day, and easy work for when you're winding down. Smarter learning from how you actually finish work is on the roadmap.
Does Pinnix do streaks, badges or gamification?
No. Pinnix is built for brains that already feel enough pressure. No streaks to maintain. No red badges. No guilt-trip notifications. The calm is the point.
What's the difference between Easy, Steady and Heavy tasks?
Energy level, not difficulty. An Easy task is something you can do half-asleep, replying to a simple email, ticking off admin. Steady is normal focused work. Heavy is the stuff that needs your sharpest hours and the lights properly on. Pinnix uses this to schedule each task into the right part of your day.
The product.
Is Pinnix a web app or a native app?
Both. Pinnix is live on the web (works on desktop, tablet and phone browsers) and we have iOS and Android apps in the works. Any subscription works across all of them.
Does Pinnix sync with my calendar?
External calendar sync is on the roadmap, not in the current version. Pinnix's internal planner handles your day. Calendar integration follows once the core experience is exactly right, we'd rather do it properly than rush it.
Can I use Pinnix offline?
Not yet. Pinnix is web-first and needs a connection. Proper offline support arrives with the native iOS and Android apps.
Does Pinnix integrate with other tools?
Not yet, by design. Integrations are powerful but they also dilute focus and add complexity that doesn't serve a neurodivergent-first product. We'll add carefully chosen integrations as the product matures, calendar first, then a small selection of the tools our users actually use most.
Is there a desktop app?
Native desktop app is coming. For now, the web app works beautifully on desktop and supports keyboard shortcuts.
Pricing and access.
How much does Pinnix cost?
£15 a month, or £135 a year (works out at £11.25/month, 25% off). Free for 14 days. Cancel anytime. See the pricing page for full details.
Is there a free version?
No free tier. The 14-day trial is a full-feature free trial, every part of Pinnix, with no limits, for two weeks. After that, £15/month or £135/year if you want to continue.
Can I get Pinnix for free if I really need it but can't afford it?
Email hello@pinnix.co.uk and we'll talk. We'd rather you had access than not.
Is Pinnix available outside the UK?
Yes. Pinnix works worldwide, with pricing localised at checkout.
Privacy and trust.
Is my data private?
Yes. Pinnix stores only what you put into it, encrypted in transit and at rest. We don't sell data, share it with advertisers, or use it for purposes other than running the service. Full details on our Privacy page.
Does the AI train on my tasks?
No. Your data is not used to train the underlying AI models. The personalisation Pinnix does, learning your focus patterns, your task types, happens privately within your own account and doesn't feed any external model.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Email hello@pinnix.co.uk and we'll send you a full export of everything we hold on you, in a standard format. A self-serve Export button is coming. Your data is yours.
What happens if I cancel?
When cancellation lands at launch, your account stays accessible for 30 days so you can grab anything you want. After that, your data is deleted. For early access cancellations, email hello@pinnix.co.uk and we'll handle it manually.
Comparisons.
How is Pinnix different from Sunsama?
Sunsama is a calm, considered daily planner that asks you to plan your day yourself. It's a beautiful product for people who can do that consistently. Pinnix is for people who can't, or shouldn't have to. We use AI to break down tasks, learn your focus patterns, and plan with you rather than asking you to plan alone.
How is Pinnix different from Motion or Reclaim?
Motion and Reclaim are calendar-AI tools. They live in your calendar and shuffle meetings and time blocks. Pinnix is planning-first, not calendar-first. We start from your tasks and your brain, not your calendar, because for most overwhelmed people, the calendar isn't the problem.
How is Pinnix different from Todoist or Things?
Todoist and Things are excellent list managers. They store and organise tasks beautifully. They don't plan your day. They don't break tasks down. They don't learn how you work. Pinnix does.
How is Pinnix different from Notion or Asana?
Notion and Asana are infinite canvases, they let you build any system you want. The flexibility is the strength and the weakness. For overwhelmed brains, they pile up faster than they help. Pinnix has one job, not a hundred, and we do it well.
How is Pinnix different from Tiimo or Goblin Tools?
Tiimo and Goblin Tools serve the neurodivergent market beautifully at the lifestyle and light-task end. Pinnix is for the working day, bigger tasks, professional workloads, real careers, built with the same neurodivergent-first respect.
The future.
When does Pinnix come out of beta?
When the product is rock-solid and we've heard “this changed how I work” from enough testers to know we're not flattering ourselves. Public launch is coming in the next few months.
What's on the roadmap?
Calendar sync, deeper personalisation, a desktop app, team functionality for employers serious about supporting neurodivergent staff. Always built around the same principle: the tool does the thinking, so you can do the working.
Can I influence the roadmap?
Yes. Beta users get a direct line to Kyle. Paying users get a feedback channel. Pinnix is being built with the people using it, not in a vacuum.
