Cookies

Cookie policy.

What cookies Pinnix sets, why, and how to control them. No tracking, no advertising, no consent banner to fight with.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. Some are essential to make the site work (like keeping you signed in). Others are optional and usually used for analytics or advertising. Pinnix only uses the essential kind.

What we set

Two cookies, both strictly necessary:

  • sb-access-token. Keeps you signed in. Set by Supabase, our authentication provider. Expires after an hour and refreshes automatically while you're using the app.
  • sb-refresh-token. Pairs with the access token to renew your session without making you log in every hour. Expires after 30 days of inactivity.

That's the entire list. No analytics. No advertising. No cross-site tracking. No fingerprinting. No third-party pixels.

Do you need to consent?

No. Under UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), websites only need explicit consent for non-essential cookies. Pinnix doesn't set any, so there's no consent banner to wade through.

What about future cookies?

If we ever add something optional later, like privacy-respecting analytics, we'll add a clear consent flow and update this page before turning anything on. You'll always be able to use Pinnix without enabling any optional cookies.

Controlling cookies in your browser

You can clear cookies or block them entirely in your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out of Pinnix and you won't be able to sign back in until you re-enable them, since the session cookies are essential to authentication.

Instructions for each major browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.

Updates to this policy

If we change anything material, we'll tell you by email and update the date at the top. Older versions are available on request.
